DARE TO DREAM

DARE TO DREAM

I know that I’m just a 19 year old boy and not someone who has fulfilled his dreams and is ready to counsel. I also have a dream instead I dream every day. I’m not that person who think that there should always be a single dream instead I think we can have infinite dreams. I know life is too short to chase all of them but we can try to chase most of them.
You should never stop yourself from dreaming. You should be the one to decide your direction unlike a pollen grain which is taken by the wind and placed somewhere. See I think it is not important to know how to achieve your dream instead you should know what your dream is.
I would request you to think and write 10 things you want to be. Yes, you can do all of them just remember that checklist and work to fulfil them. If you end up doing all of them then make another list and start working on them.

"The problem is that unconsciously we all have the fear of being judged but what we need to do is to not let that fear overcome our perception.
Opinions will be made anyways depending on the person’s maturity and intelligence."

For eg if we don’t perform well in an exam we are more concerned about what people may think of us rather than how that exam can affect us in reality. At that time we want to just hide ourselves. We should remember that for people we are just a thought we can’t make it as a state of mind.
Let people laugh on you. What you need to do is to focus on your dream.
Wherever you go you will face a lot of obstacles in life but what you need to do is to get out of your comfort zone. It is not necessary that things will happen the way you want them to be.
"So try to adapt new things and keep learning always."

I thought of discussing the most important 7 things that are to be remembered when you are working to fulfil your dream.
Those seven rules are:-
1)    Don’t set a limit to dream because you don’t know what can happen tomorrow. Miracle can take place anytime. See I’m not a person who would advise you to rely on these miracles but if you won’t think high then it would mean that you yourself are underestimating your capabilities. You are confining yourself.
    2)  Everything is destined- if you would have asked me that is it okay to not have plans a few months back then I would have said “ooh my god, what on earth you are, how could you not have a plan ..” but now I think some situations have made me to think this way that if u r planned about everything that’s going to happen with you then you don’t have enough space for surprises. I mean then you Live a monotonous life…now I think life is a roller coaster ride it has its ups and downs if you stand up and see that when are you going to go down and prepare yourself then it would not give u that happiness or that feeling instead just enjoy your ride and face the ups and downs when it comes. There are a lot of people who say that they are confused about their future and they feel low that they don’t have a definite plan but I think it’s okay to not have a definite plan of your future
Just trust the process.
Everything that’s happening with you is because of a reason and it’s ok to not have a plan.
3)    FEAR IS GOOD- I think each one of us should have a few things that we are afraid of .for e.g.I’m afraid of losing my friends my college life has been a turning point of my life that gifted me really amazing friends and hence whenever I want to say something I think before I speak because words cannot be taken back and that’s why they are happy and so am I .
I am a straight forward person hence most of the times people get me in a wrong way they think I’m being rude but I’m just speaking what I think since truth sound unpleasant to most of us. But a few incidences taught me when and where to SHUT.

4)    Failure is a necessity – I personally think that success gives happiness but it don’t last long in turn failure teach us a lot. I mean if I am succeeding continuously then in a way I’m not experiencing  something different and also I’m not aware of the amount of happiness that every piece of success should give me because now I’m used to succeeding hence I think that failures are a necessity that gives us a reality check of what’s going wrong . We identify our mistakes and work on them. This happened to me last year when my 12th result came out and it was not as good as I expected it to be I have always been among those bright students but in 12th I was shocked that I scored in 80s. I was upset that I could not get into the college that I wanted to but now I can’t imagine my college life without such amazing friends and teachers. Now I thank god for giving me what I have today..

5)    Always be aware of people around you- It is very important to mind the people around you. You should always mind the people you are hanging out with. The ones around you should have respect for you as well as for your dream. I have noticed this thing that people around us have a lot of impact on us so know the people around you and this is the reason why I have a few friends I have a lot of friends but the closest ones or the one who are most of the times with me are only few. I have a limited set of people around me including my family for whom I can do anything.  I mean I know that they have held me through shit and have taken care of me and they know me. They do respect me and also give me space when required. Talking about my family, my parents are absolutely supportive for everything I do and the validation they give me  boost me up and I start working with double speed and double energy to chase my dreams because I know that they are always there for me. Not just my parents my elder brother is equally supportive they never question me about my decisions they let me take decision on my own even if I fail its ok they are there with me I learn from them and I sort of get back, to find out other alternatives . Hence it is very necessary to mind the people around you.

6)    Never forget your roots-I would say don’t let your past go.
I think past has so much to do with making us a person that we are today and hence we can face our future. I don’t want to forget all the failures or anything that I did because every single thing I did has shaped me and has added some quality in me to be the person I’m  today . We learn from our wrong turns.
You might get everything in your life everything that you dreamt of but if you forget your past then you won’t realize the value of the things you have. You know what I like the most about my parents is that they never forget where they come from. Both of my parents are from a very simple family and wherever we are today by god’s grace they still remember their roots which makes them as well as me value every single thing we have which makes us grateful for all the things we have. They started from scratch and today wherever they are, they are happy and most importantly satisfied with what they have.
When I think of myself I always used to feel bad that I have a dark complexion and also I used to sort of copy the dressing styles of others but now I am happy with how I look and with what I wear so this makes me more happy when I compare my present self to my older self but this would not have happened if I would have discarded everything I did.

7)    It is ok not to know but it is not ok to not to learn-   See this is something important. I have seen a lot of people get upset when they come to know that they don’t know something. But what I think is that it is okay to not to know something. None of us can be perfect in every field. It is not wrong to not to KNOW something what is wrong is not to LEARN. Our life is all about learning new things.
NEVER STOP EXPERIMENTING
Never stop asking yourself whether you are actually happy. For e.g. ever since your childhood you wanted to be a software engineer and now when you are one you are not satisfied. Then just stop rather than pushing yourself just stop and start exploring other options.

CRYING IS IMPORTANT

Many people perceive crying as weakness. In fact we Indians say that boys don’t cry and if you are a boy and you are seen crying then your character is questioned and you are judged for lifetime. Apparently, this is a big mistake because confronting your emotions gives a lot of strength even though it’s a type of vulnerability. If you feel like crying then don’t hold back because:        1) Crying cleanses your eyes- tears lubricate your eyeball and eyelid which helps to see well.        2) Crying fights cold- tears helps to fight disease causing pathogens.          3) Emotional tears eliminates toxins These are some scientific reasons stating the importance of shedding tears. But what I think is that crying is amazing. I think we underestimate the power of producing tears.              We are told that emotionally strong people d...

Body Shaming! WHY?

BODY SHAMING! WHY?   Firstly what is body shaming. Let me define it briefly for those who don’t know what body shaming really is. Body shaming is make fun of anyone’s appearance or humiliating anyone based on their physicality. Why is it practised? I have an answer to this question. We do body shaming just for fun. Ever since our childhood we give our friends or classmates a title corresponding to their colour or shape. Body shammers think it is entertainment but sorry it isn’t. I have been a victim of being body shammed a lot of times just for having a dark complexion and you know what I used to do I used to feel so bad thinking about why that person called me so and I used to wish to get a fairer skin but now tables have turned   I am proud of my complexion. See we can’t choose our body, if everyone had an opportunity to choose then obviously all of us would have chosen a fairer and muscular sort of a body but now I understood that “It does not matt...

KERELA FLOODS: A NATIONAL DISASTER

KERALA FLOODS:                 A NATIONAL DISASTER \                    I think all of us are aware of the problem that Kerala is facing right now. Being a human it is so depressing for me to read all these news articles published reflecting the stats of no. of deaths and people suffering and all that. When I came to know all this I started searching the reasons of this natural calamity and I came to know that there are a lot of reasons behind this disaster. These flood alerts has been made in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka as well. See why do floods happen is something very subjective and I think we all have read about these things in our primary classes so what now. I will be discussing the factors that lead to Kerala flood disaster according to my study:     1 )    Increasing Rainfall –   Kerala faces flood issues every year but this time the rainfall has...
